A carrot poltice is good for burns or skin irritations.
Vodka
fragrant flower petals
glass jar with tightly-sealing cap
Use fresh fragrant flowers like roses, or strong dried flowers like
lavender. Separate the petals and gently rinse them to remove
pesticides. Pat dry with a towel. If you are using dried lavender,
you do not need to wash it.
Next, stuff as many petals as you can into the jar and then fill it
to the rim with vodka. Close the jar tightly, shake and store in a
place where children cannot reach it. This must sit for 10 days. If
you don't have children, place the jar where it will receive full
sunlight -- this will speed up the process by 5 days. Every day,
shake it a little, and after 10 days, pour the liquid through a
strainer and into a perfume jar. The perfume can be used on the body as a splash or in the bathtub.
Tip: This is a great educational project to do with children but
remember to keep the finished product out of their reach because it contains alcohol.

A good listener tries to understand thoroughly what the other person is saying. In the end he may disagree sharply, but before he disagrees, he wants to know exactly what it is he is disagreeing with. -- Kenneth A. Wells
